Step 1: Export Your Data from Onfleet
Export Recipients/Addresses:
- Log in to Onfleet
- Go to "Recipients" in the left sidebar
- Click "Export" or the download icon
- Select "CSV" format
- Save the file to your computer
Export Driver List (Optional):
- Go to "Workers" in Onfleet
- Make a list of driver names, emails, and phone numbers
- You'll use this to add them to DeliverNorth
Note: You can also manually note down this information. There are usually only a handful of drivers to add.
Step 2: Set Up Your DeliverNorth Account
- Create your account at dispatch.delivernorth.com/register
- Fill in company details (same info you have in Onfleet)
- Verify your email via the activation link sent to your inbox
- Log in to the dispatcher portal

Step 3: Import Your Customer Addresses
- Open the CSV file you exported from Onfleet
- Make sure it has these columns:
- Name
- Address
- City
- State
- ZIP code
- Phone (optional)
- In DeliverNorth, go to "Clients" → "Import"
- Upload your CSV file
- Map the columns (match Onfleet's field names to DeliverNorth's)
- Review and confirm

Step 4: Add Your Drivers
- Go to "Couriers" in DeliverNorth
- Click "Add Courier" for each driver
- Enter driver details:
- Name
- Email
- Phone
- Vehicle type
- Save each driver - they'll receive an activation email
Step 5: Have Drivers Download the App
Send your drivers these instructions:
For Drivers:
- Check your email for the DeliverNorth activation link
- Download the DeliverNorth Courier app:
- Log in with your email and the password you created
- Allow location permissions when prompted
- You're ready to receive deliveries!
Driver Training: The DeliverNorth app is intuitive. Most drivers learn it in one delivery. The workflow is nearly identical to Onfleet.
Step 6: Run a Test Delivery
Before switching completely, test the system:
- Create a test delivery to a known address (your office, a driver's home, etc.)
- Assign it to a driver
- Have the driver complete it with signature/photo
- Verify you see the proof of delivery in the portal
If everything looks good, you're ready to switch.
Step 7: Switch Over
You have two options:
Option A: Immediate Switch (Weekend Cutover)
- Friday: Stop creating new deliveries in Onfleet
- Weekend: Complete any in-progress Onfleet deliveries
- Monday: Start using DeliverNorth exclusively
- Cancel Onfleet at the end of your billing period
Option B: Gradual Transition
- Run both systems for 1-2 weeks
- Create new deliveries in DeliverNorth
- Let existing Onfleet deliveries complete normally
- Once comfortable, cancel Onfleet
Billing Note: With DeliverNorth, you only pay for completed deliveries. During the transition, you'll only be charged for what you actually use.
Step 8: Cancel Onfleet
- Log in to Onfleet
- Go to Account Settings or Billing
- Cancel your subscription (or contact their support)
- Note: Most Onfleet plans require 30-day notice for cancellation
Pro Tip: Start this migration process at least 30 days before your next Onfleet billing date to avoid paying for another full month.

Common Questions
Will my drivers need training?
Minimal training needed. The app interface is similar to Onfleet. Most drivers adapt within one delivery. We have in-app tooltips and help guides.
Can I get my historical delivery data from Onfleet?
Onfleet doesn't provide easy export of historical deliveries. We recommend keeping your Onfleet account in read-only mode for a month after switching, then canceling. Alternatively, take screenshots of important delivery records.
What if I need help during the switch?
