Switching from Routific

Step 1: Export Your Data from Routific

Export Customer Locations:

1. Log in to Routific
2. Go to "Customers" or "Locations"
3. Click "Export" or download icon
4. Select CSV format
5. Save the file

Note Your Driver Information:

1. Go to "Drivers" or "Vehicles" in Routific
2. Make a list of driver names, emails, and phone numbers
3. You'll add them manually to DeliverNorth (quick process)

Step 2: Set Up Your DeliverNorth Account

1. Create your account at dispatch.delivernorth.com/register
2. Fill in company information
3. Verify your email
4. Log in to the dispatcher portal

Step 3: Import Customer Addresses

1. Prepare your Routific CSV file:
   • Ensure it has name, address, city, state, ZIP code
   • Remove any Routific-specific columns you don't need
2. In DeliverNorth, go to "Clients" → "Import"
3. Upload your CSV
4. Map the columns to match DeliverNorth fields
5. Review and import

Step 4: Add Your Drivers

1. Go to "Couriers" in DeliverNorth
2. Add each driver:
   • Click "Add Courier"
   • Enter name, email, phone, vehicle type
   • Save
3. Drivers receive activation emails with app download links

Step 5: Have Drivers Download the Mobile App

Unlike Routific (which is primarily web-based), DeliverNorth provides dedicated mobile apps for drivers:

Driver Instructions:

1. Download the app
2. Log in with email and password (from activation email)
3. Enable location permissions
4. Ready to receive deliveries

Step 6: Test the System

1. Create a test delivery to a known address
2. Assign it to a driver
3. Have them complete it with proof of delivery
4. Verify everything works as expected

Step 7: Switch Over

You can switch immediately or gradually:

Immediate Switch:

• Stop creating routes in Routific
• Start using DeliverNorth for all new deliveries
• Cancel Routific subscription

Gradual Transition:

• Run both for 1-2 weeks
• Put new deliveries in DeliverNorth
• Let existing Routific routes complete
• Cancel Routific when comfortable

Step 8: Cancel Routific

1. Log in to Routific
2. Go to Account Settings → Billing
3. Cancel subscription
4. Confirm cancellation

Common Questions

Is the route optimization as good as Routific?

Yes. DeliverNorth uses similar algorithms to optimize routes based on distance, time windows, and traffic. The routes are comparable in efficiency.

What about multi-day route planning?

DeliverNorth supports scheduled deliveries and recurring routes. You can plan multiple days ahead and assign deliveries to specific time windows.

Can I still optimize large route batches?

Yes. Upload multiple stops and the system will optimize the route automatically. Works for 100+ stops.

Do I lose my historical data?

Routific doesn't provide easy historical data export. Consider keeping your account active for a month (read-only) after switching, then cancel.
